Well, this sucks. Netflix proved once again that they have no problem cancelling shows after just one season by giving a pink slip to the ’90s coming-of-age show Everything Sucks. The first season of the show, which just premiered not too long ago, had a clunky first few episodes but gained steam as it continued on. It ended on a cliffhanger, proving that the creators, Ben York Jones and Michael Mohan, were banking on a second season.
In case you missed it, here’s the official trailer, which is jam-packed with references like “All that and a bag of chips.”
“We are grateful to Netflix for the opportunity, but are very disheartened we won’t be continuing to tell these stories,” said executive producer Jeff Pinker, according to Hollywood Reporter.
RIP, Everything Sucks. Thank you for the solid ’90s references.
