Last week on Teen Mom 2, Aubree’s name change went through, and she got a cake! Go Aubree. I’m sorry your dad’s a deadbeat.
This week starts up with Kail chatting up buddy Lindsie Chrisley about their podcast. Kail wants to focus the podcast on how she wants to bleach her asshole, while Lindsie wants to talk about freezing eggs. While chatting, Kail admits that she thinks her next relationship should be with a girl, since things got a little screwy with Chris, Lux’s dad.
Then, my DirecTV Now app froze and didn’t work for a little bit. Kind of annoying when you’re doing a recap, but I’m going to hope that nothing big happened in that short time. From what I can tell, Chelsea talked about Adam for a little bit. And Leah talked about Gracie’s therapy with a friend. And Corey held up a pinata. But anyway, back to it.
Kail, in her car, is open about Chris’s involvement with Lux. She admits there have been two months with no contact — the last time he connected was back in September. Right now, Lux is four months old and needs his dad.
Briana is going back to work, and Stella is starting daycare. It scares Bri, since she’s just a baby. But since Briana gets paid way less than the rest of the cast, she needs to do something more than film. Dropping her off is a family event. Stella is wearing a onesie and yellow pants for her big day, and as much as her family irks me… the kid is cute.
Happy Birthday, Jenelle!
Back on The Land, it’s Jenelle’s birthday! Happy 17th, kiddo. The family hangs out on the snow and ice and legit seem to be having a fun family day. David presents Jenelle with her presents. First is an AirBnB in Memphis with David to see Cardi B in Tennessee. “It’s your favorite!” David said. Jenelle also still likes Kesha, by the way. But Cardi B is fine. Really, Jenelle doesn’t seem psyched about this opportunity.
Chelsea met up with a mediator with Adam, who wants to lower his child support. “He has no bank account ’cause that got closed,” Chelsea says when he’s back in the car. Speaking of car, Adam also doesn’t have one of those. He has a house, but no job. But he’s hoping to start a business, as of today. Maybe he can see LipSense?
Adam blamed MTV for not being able to get a job, which isn’t true — not only does the dude barely film, but he’s also got a bunch of issues with the law. I’m pretty sure Ryan used the same excuse last year, right?
Enough of negativity, let’s party! Leah is celebrating Ali and Gracie’s birthdays with a unicorn-themed arcade party.

‘”I am excited to see what this year holds for us,” Leah states. She tells her friend that Jeremy, Addie’s daddy, wants to talk to her. He’s been all over her Instagram recently, which makes things more suspicious. Her friend thinks that maybe he’s trying to get back together with her, which would be pretty cute. Because we all saw what happened when Leah tried dating new dudes.
Javi’s Two Seconds
Javi calls Briana, who holds the phone up awkwardly while driving. Yeah, they’re in a relationship (in this episode) but they’re a handful of states away. Back at home, Nova admits she’s not sad that Bri is back at work since she just spends time with Stella anyway. Burn.
At court, Kail had to testify against Chris. Chris got supervised visits for the next four weeks, and then they go to court again, He gets the baby for five hours, with his aunt watching over. Kail really wants the supervision to be a neutral party and thinks nothing was resolved. At least her hair looks good in this scene. “There’s no winning,” Kail says. She states that at the end of the day, Lux still loses.
Sad Time On The Land
Now, time at The Land! The kids have been acting up, so Jenelle and David are exhausted. “Ever since I woke up they’ve been runnin’ around,” David says while making scrambled eggs that don’t look super appetizing.
Kaiser says he has to poo, and David says that if he goes in his pants, he’s in real trouble. But he also can’t go to the bathroom, since he already did this morning. Kid can’t win. Later, Kaiser hits a cameraman in the balls. Ensley, who can’t walk yet, keeps losing socks. Jace and Maryssa, who are slightly older, are in the car unattended for a long spell. When everyone’s in the car, David freaks out since the cameras are on. He decides that based on the difficult kids (who weren’t totally difficult, overall?) they’re not going anywhere as punishment. Just a weird, uncomfortable scene.
Nova, wearing a YouTube shirt, refuses to give her mom a hug after work. But, she gets a hug from Stella. Right in front of Nova and the rest of the family, Briana’s mom spills on everything Nova said. Briana reminds Nova that she’ll always be her number one, which is sweet but will also probably be problematic wording in the future, as Bri didn’t specify it was on birth order.
Leah’s Big Compliment
Now, back to Leah’s possible hookup. Jeremy wanted to deeply apologize for a scene that aired earlier on MTV. He wants to thank her so much for being such a good mom and thinks she’s in such a better place. He thought about Leah and almost teared up at the gym. No matter what, he’ll always have love for her. Leah appreciates that he’s being open and honest.
