“Teen Mom 2” S9E4 Recap: Kail’s An Adult Mom Finally, an episode where the Teen Moms are in their own homes!

Finally, an episode of Teen Mom 2 that isn’t about the stupid reunion! Seriously, you guys. I was thinking about giving up after two very dull episodes. But since the rest of the shows I normally recap ended, I, uh. Have to keep trucking if I want this site to stay alive.

Teen Mom 2 starts with Kail, who has Jo over to drop Isaac off. She said she’s over the whole Javi and Briana stuff, and everyone admits that Kail was very mature over the whole thing. So much so, that they might need to change the name of the show to “Adult Mom.” Kail said he doesn’t want to keep talking about Javi on camera, unless it pertains to Lincoln. If it’s about who he’s dating, or anything else, she’s keeping quiet.

Leah is busy prepping for Halloween. Jeremy is spending some much-needed time with Jeremy. Leah invites Jeremy along to go trick-or-treating with them, asking Addie if she wants her “stinky butt” dad to go with him, reminding Addie that his last name was actually “Calfart.” That’s some heavy flirting right there.

Leah talks to a buddy and tells her about the reunion, saying it was like a Housewives reunion. Fingers crossed Leah never ends up on that franchise.

Now, a Briana segment. Her and her friend Shirley are getting pedicures. Briana said it was a long reunion with a lot of drama, and girl you loved EVERY SECOND OF IT. She said Javi’s going to visit her for two full days. “He’s a good boy,” she says. She’s not used to that.

Chelsea finally gets a second on the show and mentions she’s off birth control. She said it was always the plan to try again before Watson was one. Chelsea bought a bunch of ovulation tests, and said she’d love if the new baby was born next fall.

Over at Barbara’s house, she’s having a weird outside pizza picnic with Jace outside. A voiceover says that Jenelle is still pissed at both Babs and Nathan based on the reunion, and even goes to call Jace’s therapist to get more insight, as Jace is probably affected by this. Her therapist said to act like nothing will change. Eventually, Jace and David should also have one-on-one sessions together, which Jenelle thinks is a fantastic idea. Probably because David scares the shit out of Jace and everyone.

More Briana And Javi Crap

Supposedly Stella is lactose intolerant, and we learn this after Javi tries to feed her a spoonful of ice cream. The couple (yes, couple) watches young Nova hang out in a bounce house, making me with all of Briana’s segments were just of her cute little girls.

Kail’s next segment is about Jo planning a fundraising event for the victims of the weather conditions down in Puerto Rico. His wonderful fiancée, Vee, is also on board.

Back at Leah’s house, Addie keeps biting Brendan, a producer, because she is amazing. In the hallway, Ali falls down. Gracie knocked her down over a book, causing Leah to call their dad, Coey. Corey tells Gracie that she’ll be grounded for two weeks if she doesn’t get her act together.

Speaking of drama, Jenelle calls 911 on Babs, since supposedly Jace called her crying. Jace has a cell phone, and called her saying that Babs was yelling at him and hitting him. Jace said he wanted to “live at Mommy’s.” Jace later said Babs didn’t hit her, but. Babs still took something out on him. Jenelle is scared for Jace, especially since Babs yelled and screamed at her a lot growing up.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is trying to get this Adam stuff straightened out. He was arrested for assault, and she wants to move visitation with Aubrey. “He is on drugs and stuff and erratic,” Chelsea admits. She orders Starbucks from a drive-thru while talking about the paperwork that needs to be filed. Aubrey also wants her name changed, but she needs to be safe before all that goes down.

Kail will be traveling to Jo’s hurricane benefit in New Jersey with her friend Dom, who’s been…hanging out with her a lot. Meanwhile, Javi an Briana are going on a dinner date and…boring.

Happy Halloween!

It’s time for trick-or-treating at the Messer-Calvert household. It’s obviously not Halloween for any of the other Teen Mom 2 castmates. I guess Leah’s the Maci, where trick-or-treating is always a storyline. She pulls a wheelchair out for Ali just in case, even though she really doesn’t want to use it. Gracie is a witch, just like mama. So is Addie. (I can’t tell what Ali is, but she’s wearing a purple wig.) Leah admits it’s really nice to have Jeremy there.

Chelsea says that all of the Adam court stuff is happening in one very long day. She chats about how she’ll discuss all of this with Aubree. It’ll be painful when the “your dad is in jail” chat happens again.

Babs is now questioned, and admits she was visited by the cops. Supposedly Jace had a meltdown and started throwing things, and that’s when she called Jenelle. Jace was having anger issues. The police cam, and Jace admitted he wasn’t actually hit. “Instead of working together, she’s tearing him in half,” Barbara says. She’s going to try her best to get him to grow up properly. I mean, she’s pretty much his mom.

Javi and Briana go to a steakhouse, and as I said before… boring. Javi says he needs to be on the same page as Bri. Bri says Kail is the last thing she’s worried about. Briana doesn’t want to get hurt again. Blegh. I miss Teen Mom OG.

Driving back from the fundraiser, Kail and Dom kind of question their relationship. Are the more than friends? Perhaps. And, that’s the unimportant “cliffhanger” this episode ends on.
