Last season on Teen Mom 2, there was a lot of tension between Jenelle and her mom, Barb. Jenelle also got married. Kail got pregnant and had a baby boy, Leah got brainwashed into an MLM and managed three kids, and Chelsea wanted a baby badly and had lil’ Watson, who’s a cutie. While Cole is a great dad, Aubree Skye Lind DeBoer’s dad is kind of a shitbag drug addict. Oh, and Briana’s on the show now. Y’all cool if I skip her segments? Her kids are cute, but. Eh. I feel like she’s a Teen Mom 2 participant for all the wrong reasons.

Chelsea’s segment is up first. Since Aubree and Cole are super close, they want to hyphenate her last name for realsies. “I still wanna keep Lind, I just want to add DeBoer,” Aubree says. As for Aubree, she fears she might get a bit of backlash for the decision, but whatever. She’s doing it anyway.

Baby Question Mark

At Kail’s house, they still haven’t named the baby. In her household (and on social media) he’s “Baby Lo.” And he’s adorable, by the way. Kail reveals to her friend while out to eat that while she has a name and likes it, she still hasn’t filed the paperwork yet. She’s fine with Chris right now. Things aren’t good, but they’re not bad — but since things are great with both Jo and Javi right now, it’s even worse.

Speaking of Javi, Briana’s segment is up next. She said that despite a few flirty messages with Javi, they’re just friends. Briana is getting ready for the VMAs, who she’s really excited about. Briana tells her sister Brittany that she might end up on TV in the audience, but I don’t know… I think her exposure on Teen Mom 2 is probably bigger than that.

Leah’s Sweet Ass

The two meet up with Leah, and Brittany compliments her butt. According to Leah, she gets butt compliments a lot. While getting her hair done, Briana chats about baby Stella, who’s 2 months old. Leah openly brings up the Javi news, and Briana admits that there’s an Orlando meetup —but, because Javi was planning on going there with the kids anyway. They’ll all be staying at the same hotel. Leah says Kail’s not going to be happy about it.

Chelsea’s dad Randy asks if Adam’s lawyer got back about the name change. Chelsea admits that he’d be cool with it if she eliminated child support, or amended child support. Or, should we say, eliminate back child support, since Adam is a terrible father. Chelsea’s going to move forward with filing, which is especially sweet, as it’s something Aubree wants.

Now it’s time for Jenelle. I admit, I’m a bit salty on her after hearing about the road rage/gun incident. But in episode one, the heat is on Nathan, who got his custody with Kaiser changed. Jenelle talks to David and says that Nathan’s mom has filed emergency custody of him based on the number of bruises he has. She’s so tired since she’s trying to have her happy ending with David and everyone is getting in the way!

The Big Reveal

Kail is finally unveiling the big name — it’s Lux! Lincoln is not a fan. Meanwhile, Javi and his friend Carlos are having a very scripted conversation in the car. Javi says they flirt and text, and have a lot of real good chemistry. But, of course, there’s a distance. They have yet to cross any kind of line.

Briana is still getting ready for the VMAs with Leah and Brittany. Javi Facetimes her while she’s getting ready, and even though it’s obvious that it’s Javi, Bri still says it’s “nobody” when asked.

Now it’s time for a little b-ballin’ Nathan. He’s been seeing a girl from Florida recently (BRIANA??) and tells his friend about how he sees Kaiser every other week. Nathan says that Kaiser told him David punched him once. He’s also taking on some of David’s scary mannerisms.

Chelsea’s getting froyo with her kids, and they’re having an adorable time together — until Chelsea learned that Adam got arrested again. He went to jail, and then he bonded out. An ex also filed a restraining order against him after he broke her arm due to his rampant drug use.

Thirty-four minutes in, and Leah finally gets her own segment. And in it, she’s calling her BFF Kail about Briana. She thinks it’s girl code to let her know. Well, texting first, to give her a heads up that she’s filming. That’s how it should have been done, Farrah and Amber.

Leah tells her about Javi and Bri’s hot Orlando kid weekend, and Kail admits she knew nothing about the hotel. By the way — during this call, Addie is being adorable. Kail is glad that Leah let her know.

Kail chats with Jo about the Orlando trip. She says that Javi never told her anyone else was going, which is kind of crappy, since…Kail’s kids are involved. Come on, dude. Jo, who’s way more mature, doesn’t know why nobody’s being honest here. Kail is especially upset since she and Javi worked really hard on co-parenting to get where they are today.

Babs Makes It Public

Back on The Land, Jenelle is reading an article about Nathan’s mom’s custody hearing. David thinks it’s a load of crap. Jenelle thinks Barb’s involved, as she wasn’t invited to the wedding. Back at Barbara’s house, she admits she’s “pissed off to the max.” She says Jace told her that Kaiser had a poopy diaper, and it upset David so much that he smacked him for it. She’s sick and tired of Jenelle bashing her. #TeamBarb

More Javi and Bri. Blegh. Javi is super excited about the trip, and Bri thinks it’s great that they can “get to know each other.” Javi heard from Kail that they were all staying in the same room together, and Bri wonders where she got that (now, untrue) information from. Briana doesn’t want any problems with Kail, especially since they’ll all be at the reunion together.

Jenelle gets very upset at Radar Online, as they published a story about Kaiser’s poopy diaper spanking incident. Wait, how old is Kaiser, anyway? Shouldn’t he be potty trained? (He was born in 2014, so… probably?) Jenelle cries about nightmares and night terrors about her mom taking her kids. Well, Jenelle. A court would have to intervene there, so uh. If you were actually doing a good job, you shouldn’t be so concerned.

Kail chats with Lincoln in Orlando, and both kids are having a fun time. Isaac admits he’s chatting with Nova, Bri’s first daughter. Kail had no idea that the entire vacation was the two of them together until that very moment.

At dinner, Javi says he’s trying to live a “drama-free life” and, LOL. Come on, dude. I like you, but. Nah. The families figure out Leah was the one who spilled the beans about all this, and that drama that Javi tried to avoid is… well, it’s right there.
