Remember ALF? Of course you do. Even if you were too young to enjoy the “alien life form” on his television series by the same name, surely you recognize him from the number of ads he did. There was also a plush ALF toy that was pretty much in the toy chest of every suburban house in the ’90s. Well, in case you missed him, here’s good news — an ALF reboot is in development.
If you’re not up-to-date on your ALF trivia, here’s the puzzling part of this news. ALF was like, one of the most dangerous shows to make. The actors reportedly hated it, since so many accidents took place. When your lead character is a puppet, that means your set has a lot of trap doors. And those trap doors reportedly had to be reset multiple times during takes. Have things improved since, or will this just be the same horror show?
Variety reported the news, stating that the reboot was still in early stages. So, it’s safe to say they probably haven’t considered set dynamics just yet.
Here’s one of the best/most cringe-worthy show moments, where he creates a song and music video.
Where did he get the resources to even create that? Hopefully, the reboot will give a little clarity.
