So, full disclosure. I missed the first 10 minutes of the Teen Mom OG reunion based on DirecTVNow issues. Dudes, I’m not happy about it.
Here’s what I saw — supposedly Mackenzie stormed off stage for good after Dr. Drew put her in her place, and then Maci and Taylor came out to join Larry and Jen? Some sort of delusion went down. I know Mackenzie brings drama, but if that was the case, I’m kind of glad I’m not wasting words on her. Seeing Maci interact with Ryan’s folks is all I need — Maci and Jen have a chemistry I just love.
Drugs And Lies
So, let’s talk drug tests. Maci says she’d mostly be fine with a urine test from Ryan, which he supposedly has been having.
Maci also says that she always responds to his texts. “I can show you my phone right now,” she says. Jen thinks Ryan should put aside everything from the past and start a new chapter. It hasn’t always been great with Maci, but there have been good moments. Jen curses and drops the “s” bomb, and Maci says that when she says words like shit, she means it. It seems like Jen doesn’t curse much. Maybe she should try it more. It often makes me feel better, personally.
Gary and Kristina take the stage next. In case you forgot, Gary’s big storyline was finding out Jody wasn’t his father. I wonder if the two of them regret televising this story, since not only is it painful, but Jody was asked about his sex life on camera. He wasn’t on the series before now, by the way. Gary admits Jody was hurt by the news and had no idea that they weren’t a match prior to the test.
The Damn Good Mom
Now, Gary is talking about Amber. He says how it sucks since he always has to be a father first. “She has done great with coming to pick up Leah,” Gary admits. He says it’s been hard for Leah to go back and forth. Kristina tries hard to stay out of it, but still got pulled into the social media fight about it. “I put my court documents out there,” Kristina said. That’s how messy Amber’s lies about her and her ex-husband (who yes, she cheated on with Gary) got.
“It would be really hard for me to have a child with somebody I just met,” Gary said, in regards to baby James. “I think it’s Andrew’s, that was the time frame and everything.” Still, he’s happy for them. Amber and Andrew pop in on video chat and says she feels like they’re putting her in a light that hurts her feelings. She starts crying and doesn’t want the world to think she’s a bad mom. “I do not and will not keep Leah from you,” Gary says for the 90000th time this series.
Amber and Kristina’s relationship is actually good, but she hurt her feelings after seeing her talk about her on screen. Amber says she’s very sorry for saying anything hurtful. “I’m a person that will admit my faults,” she said, adding that it may just take her awhile. She wants to start over, and I think that’s possible.
Next on stage are Catelynn and Tyler. Catelynn looks gorgeous, but really sad. Keep in mind, she was FRESH out of rehab for this. Tyler, who’s a bit on edge, is wearing jeans with holes in the knees. Dr. Drew goes right into it and asks him if he smokes pot still. He doesn’t smoke around her, but he smokes with his friends. Catelynn isn’t too concerned. Her home environment is still very calm and party-free.
Tyler says it’s difficult when they love somebody and they talk about suicide. Tyler admits he’s been diagnosed with bipolar, which is interesting. Then Dr. Drew launches right into Carly talk. Supposedly Carly said the best thing about having a sister is because she “looks just like me,” and the audience uncomfortably awws. Next up is BUUUTCH. Also, Farrah.
Call Me Darl
In Butch news, he relapsed and then went to a fancy treatment center, courtesy of Tyler. Butch Skypes in and says he’s doing “real good.” He’s doing the 12 step program and says people should now start calling him by his birth name — Darl. (Yes, that’s like Carl with a D.) Dr. Drew is just a peach and tells Tyler that Butch (er, Darl) may not stay sober. I THINK HE KNOWS THAT, DR. DREW. Catelynn’s advice is for Butch to have a plan in place for aftercare. Then, Dr. Drew calls Catelynn a role model, and you can tell she’s loving it.
Next up, Dr. Drew brings out newly-married Debra, whose wedding sadly didn’t air on Teen Mom. Can I admit that I miss her? She looks happy and shiny. She says that things were good, but the only sad part about the wedding was that Sophia wasn’t there. (Farrah was, btw.) “The story I heard was that she couldn’t find her blue dress,” Debra says. “They get along great, she doesn’t talk to him,” she adds, in regards to Sophia’s relationship with Dr. David. She really believes that “everybody wants to come back together.” But she also fears for Farrah, since she doesn’t like the people she’s become acquainted with and some of the choices she’s made.
It’s Farrah Time
Dr. Drew met with Farrah — who’s also shiny — after the reunion aired, and made a special appearance in LA. Farrah admits that Sophia didn’t feel comfortable going, but she’s glad she was able to go to support them. Farrah shuts Dr. Drew when it comes to both therapy and anyone she’s dated, making this interview very awkward. She also doesn’t think she can talk about that Kristen incident. She says he should talk to Morgan J. Freeman, and does a weird clap.
Sophia supposedly knows about her adult entertainment career, yes. “There’s nothing to hide, Dr. Drew,” she says. This is weird. Girl, loosen up a little.
I will say this — Twitter exploded when Farrah came on stage. Everyone loves to hate her.
So basically Farrah isnt talking about anything… #TeenMomOG

Wow just when I think Farrah cannot be more narcissistic and disgusting, she proves me wrong. Wow is all I can say #TeenMomOG what were you thinking when you originally cast her??

In comparison, I couldn’t find many tweets about what happened in those first 10 minutes. And yes, I looked. What good is a recap site that misses time?
Back to Farrah. She thinks it’s better for her to “be successful and flourish” without people knowing what she’s doing. She awkwardly drinks from a Teen Mom OG mug, which I can’t believe is a thing. Unsure why Dr. Drew even asked, but he asked if she kept in touch with the other moms. “All that drama, the disgusting behavior, I don’t need it.”
In her last minute in the public eye, Farrah namedrops the LGBTQ community and said she’s glad the production didn’t break her to the core. Dr. Drew admits a lot of people will miss her, and she says she appreciates it. That’s nice, at least. “I wish you only the best,” he says. “We’ve been through a lot.” He’s sad about it. But, she’s not. “I’m not sad, I just take it for what it is,” she says. They shake hands, and the credits roll.
Oh, FYI, use birth control. They made sure to throw that in at the very end.
