When Nathan For You aired its season finale, titled “Finding Frances,” I had a…feeling. Something about it seemed to indicate that host Nathan Fielder was done with the show. But still, I had hope.

The show focused around Fielder trying his hardest to save struggling businesses. But those ideas usually were a little farfetched, if not downright dangerous. Still, a lot of work and a lot of heart was put into every scheme. And some people actually benefitted from their experience, even though it was likely nothing like they imagined. Fielder also went viral a few times while filming the show. Remember Dumb Starbucks? That was all him.

Pitchfork received a statement from Comedy Central which indicated that no new seasons were in the works. “For the past five years Comedy Central had the pleasure of working with the brilliant Nathan Fielder on ‘Nathan For You,’” it said. “His innovative and quick-witted humor has made the show a comedic touchstone and we’re proud to have been a part of it. We respect Nathan’s decision to end the series and look forward to geeking out over his next project.”

RIP, Nathan For You. You got me through some dark times. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, here’s a clip that’ll probably make you laugh. Or cringe. Perhaps both.
